MARK OF SAMUEL WOOD, LONDON, 1741, THE CASTERS 1743
The cinquefoil frame on four shell and scroll feet, the central standard with shaped ring handle, the frame with five supports and two bottle stoppers, fitted with one large and two smaller silver casters, and two cut-glass bottles with silver stoppers, the frame with a rococo cartouche engraved with a crest and motto above, marked under frame, on standard, base of each caster and one caster bezel, the bottle stoppers apparently unmarked
8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) high; 42 oz. 10 dwt. (1327 gr.)
