CIRCA 1680, ATTRIBUTED TO PATANAZZI WORKSHOP
Depicting a winged cupid holding two laurel wreaths to the centre, within a cartouche of yellow, ochre and blue concentric circles surrounded by a broad band of grotteschi and arabesques, incorporating fantastic sphinx figures, leaf and flower tendrils, within a yellow border painted with diagonal stripes, the rim gadrooned and the surface in slight relief (glaze fritting to extremities, hairline crack)
