The pale blue ground decorated in the Transition style in hues of light blue with four Orientals at various pursuits in rocky gardens with bamboo and pine tree, the flaring neck with so-called 'fleurs hollandoises',the loop handle hatched, the domed silver mount engraved with coat-of-arms accolées within mantling, further with a shell-crested sea-monstre, the mount to the handle engraved with acanthus, the double pomegranate thumbpiece and hinge possibly later
