With gilt-finished verge movement, chain fusée, unusual large balance cock pierced and engraved with a monogram surmounted by a coronet, the chased and engraved gilt dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, aperture for date above 12 o'clock, in steel case with applied raised gold scroll and foliage decoration, the reverse centred by coat of arms, dial and movement signed
48 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

The coat-of-arms depicting a double eagle surmounted by a helmet and crown are those of a European noble family, the monogram on the balance cock the initials of the owner of the watch.
