The brass movement with two going barrels wound separately, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement mounted on a lenticular platform numbered 33, two-arm bimetallic balance with brass timing and weighting screws, parachute suspension, free sprung regulator with polished helical hairspring, the silvered dial with small hour dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds, balance block/release lever, in brass bowl, gimballed in three-tier mahogany box with hinged panel in the lid over a circular glazed aperture, numbered 3073, original brass ratchet key. dial signed and numbered, case numbered

According to the Archives of Montres Breguet, the present marine chronometer was sold to Breguet's agent in Bordeux, Monsieur Ducom, on 19 September 1820 for the amount of Francs 2,200.
