Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie and original period envelope, Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with luminous numerals and antimagnetic balance in 1957 and its subsequent sale on 14 August 1958. It is interesting to note that the watch was originally delivered with a leather strap; consequently, the currently mounted Patek Philippe bracelet in white gold must have been added upon special request.

Reference 2555 in white gold is one of the rarest variants of the family of Calatrava wristwatches. According to research, only one other example of this reference in white gold has been offered at auction to date. The present watch is fitted with a rather unusual dial for such a dress watch, featuring luminous baton numerals and hands.
