Accompanied by Rolex original guarantee stamped G. Jost, Piazza Corvetta, Genova, envelope, brown leather Rolex and Jost Genova presentation box and Jost original leather bracelet.
This Rolex reference 6305 is doubtlessly one of the most exclusive and unusual Datejusts to appear on the market in many years. Besides the spectacular fact that it has survived over 50 years in unworn condition, together with its original bracelet, certificate and box, this watch is also fitted with one of the rarest and most prominent dials that Rolex would ever fit on one of their watches. In fact, the black lacquered dial set with five diamonds as hour markers is normally associated as an exclusivity reserved to the full calendar and moon reference 6062.
Until to date, only three examples of reference 6062 are known fitted with a similar black dial featuring diamond numerals, amongst them the so-called "Bao Dai", possibly the most prominent example.
The present watch is a perfect witness and time machine, showing how watches were finished when being offered as new in the retailer's shop. It is a privilege to study such watches, retaining their original case lines, satin and polish finish, original leather strap, guarantee and box.
