Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with engraved initials BC in 1901. It obtained a Geneva Observatory Contest grade A rating certificate in 1905 and was sold on 24 August 1906. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe original fitted brown leather presentation box numbered 116'488.

Patek Philippe movements participating at Observatory Timing Contests were numbered twice.

According to the registers of the Geneva Observatory, this watch was presented to the First Class contest in 1905 where it achieved 210.1 points and the mention "Honorable". Its movement was prepared and adjusted by the renowned precision adjuster C. Batifolier.
