Lot Essay

With regard to the painting Winterlandschap, which was meant as a present of Dr. Van Velzen Camphuys to his wife, Jac. van den Bosch mentioned in his autobiography that he drew a study of an alley near Overveen. This in the end was the basis for the present lot.
