With gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, repeating on two gongs, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, windows for date, day and month in French, subsidiary seconds combined with phases of the moon, in heavy circular case with bezels, band and pendant engraved with floral and palmette motifs, repeating slide in the band, split second chronograph mechanism operated through button in crown, dial and movement signed, movement numbered, case with London hallmarks for 1883
