The Beatles
A collection of material relating to the filming and promotion of Help!, comprising:
- seven black and white contact prints on one sheet of the Beatles on location in the Bahamas during the filming of Help!, 23 February - 9 March, 1965, the shots showing alternate images to that printed for distribution as a publicity photograph, two shots including Producer, Walter Shenson -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.); accompanied by a corresponding colour print (printed recently) -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.);
- five colour negatives taken on location in the Bahamas,the shots showing Ringo Starr next to a pink horse and cart during the filming, each -- 2¼x2¼in. (5.7x5.7cm.);
- 82 black and white contact prints on five sheets, the shots taken by Robert Young during the press conference to announce the release of Help!, subjects include close-ups of each Beatle, Tony Barrow directing questions from journalists, Brian Epstein and others, each sheet -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.);
- 30 black and white contact prints on three sheets, the shots taken by Robert Young during the Shea Stadium concert, Sunday 15 August, 1965, the 22 shots of the Beatles on stage, the other shots showing Sounds Incorporated, Brenda Holloway, The King Curtis Band and the Discotheque Dancers, each sheet -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.);
- 8 black and white photographs of the Beatles whilst on location in the Bahamas during the filming of Help! with publicist, Jerry Pam (printed recently), majority -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.);
- two NEMS Enterprises press packs for the Beatles 1965 tour of the U.S. and Japan; and related material (a lot)
