Lot Essay

Goodwin visited the West Indies twice during two four month tours in 1902 and 1912. He was accompanied on the second trip by Arthur McConnel, a relation by marriage, who paid for and arranged both trips for Goodwin. McConnel's collection of watercolours by Goodwin was sold in these Rooms, 5 November 1993.
