There is a sketch for the present watercolour in the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle. Barnet Lewis owned over 100 works by Birket Foster, including The Meet, one of Birket Foster's largest works, which was sold in these Rooms, Christie's, London, 28 November 2001, lot 17, for £215,000, a world record price for the artist at auction.
