ACCESSIBLE MATURE BORDEAUX FROM A REMOTE CELLAR

These wines were bought upon release and only seeing the light of day with the cases being freshly cracked the first time for this auction. This connoisseur selected a broad range of Bordeaux from various châteaux and different appellations adeptly focusing on the '82 and '83 vintages. Although it is altogether too easy to bypass the latter vintage with the hype of the many strong vintages of the '80s, in both senses of the word; the balance, class and imminent drinkability of the '83s Better wines of the vintage match the grip and firmness with flesh and concentration without being jarringly fruity or ostentatious. The 1983 was particularly successful in Margaux, and certain châteaux of St. Julien which thankfully this collection is resplendently plentiful.
As you will note scanning the intense intermingling of original wood cases throughout the collection, some moisture damage may appear on the labels. The added humidity will help the corks maintain their youthful bounce and shape. Bottles tasted during inspection were found to be lively and long-lasting in the glass and the many magnums that abound in the collection will be showing only brighter. A delightful cross-section of wines will be available during the auction tasting, highlighting the 1983 vintage.

Removed from the deep, dark and absolutely cold cavern of a Rocky Mountain collector and noted artist.
