The Benedictine priory of Kilburn, founded in 1139 by Abbot Herbert of Westminster, was suppressed on 11 May 1537; its income in 1535 was in excess of £74. Thomas Stydolf (d.1545) was Usher of the King's Chamber and served on a Commission of the Peace in Surrey.
