EINSTEIN, Albert. Two autograph postcards signed ('A. Einstein' and 'Albert Einstein') to his first wife, Mileva, Berlin, 1 March and 15 November 1915, together 2 pages, 8vo.
EINSTEIN'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS CHILDREN. The earlier of the two cards thanks Mileva for sending pictures of their sons and refers to financial matters [presumably relating to their divorce settlement], including some 'papers in Prague'. On 15 November 1915, Einstein is 'greatly pleased with your letter, because I see from it that you do not wish to hinder my relations with the boys. For my part I will say that these relations form the most important element in my personal life'. (2)
