Of slightly flattened octagonal section on four small bracket feet, painted in Eisenrot enriched in Sgraffito lines, probably by Ignaz Preissler with a continuous scene of peasants dancing in a line holding hands, one holding a beaker of drink, two playing the violin and a wind instrument below a tree nearby, before a cluster of cottages in the distance (rim with small chip and slight firing faults, minute wear)

Above, Jacques Callot's engraving from his series Capricci di varie figure published in 1617, from which the four dancing figures on one side of this cup are derived. The figures correspond to the lower four figures of Callot's engraving, and have been reversed and adapted slightly.
