A MEISSEN TWO-HANDLED ECUELLE, COVER AND STAND
CIRCA 1750, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS TO ECUELLE AND STAND
The écuelle with green branch and gilt-edged white scroll handles, the upper terminals with flowers, the moulded ground of forget-me-nots reserved on each side with a vignette of figures in extensive wooded river landscapes within trefoil gilt scroll cartouches flanked by palms, the domed cover and shaped circular stand similarly decorated, the cover with a flower finial, the stand with a central bouquet, both with gilt line borders (very slight wear to gilding, écuelle with small chip to stem of one terminal, cover with very slight chipping to finial, stand with short very minor firing cracks at rim)
The stand 7 1/8 in. (18.1 cm.) wide
