CIRCA 1755, CONTEMPORARY SHAGREEN CASE
Modelled as a recumbent greyhound with brown markings before an oviform vase painted with flowers, the gadooned stopper modelled as a bird, on an oval mound base with scattered flower-sprays, the underside with a bouquet, the necks with stamped gold mounts (restoration to vase and to shoulder and neck of greyhound)
