A BÖTTGER GOLDCHINESEN FLARED BOWL
CIRCA 1720
Decorated at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop with Orientals with parasols and at various pursuits on terraces with trees and shrubs, one with a garlanded column, the other with a fountain flanked by exotic birds perched on rockwork, each terrace supported by interlocking strapwork, the interior with figures on a terrace with a large tree, on a similar support, below a scalloped gilt band border edged with C-scrolls and dot ornament (square area of wear to border of interior, some wear to base of interior and rim, further minute areas of wear, footrim with minor chipping, probably from time of manufacture)
