A VIENNA BULLET-SHAPED TEAPOT AND A COVER
CIRCA 1750, BLUE SHIELD MARK, INCISED 36
Decorated in Schwarzlot and gilding with two harbour scenes supported by a gilt line and joined by two trees flanking the spout symmetrically and by trees and rockwork by the scroll handle, the sea with Sgraffito waves and peppered with galleons and smaller boats, the wooded mountainous coastline with fortifications, the shore with figures by barrels and packages, the small domed cover with a continuous shipping scene enclosing the white pear finial, within a scrolling border (small rim chip, minute areas of wear, chipping to underside of tip of spout, cover with two very small chips to flange on interior)
