CIRCA 1773, BLUE Z /.. MARK
Modelled by Wilhelm Spengler as a gallant and companion, his hair en queue with a black ribbon, wearing a striped and flowered jacket, a flowered waistcoat and puce breeches, embracing his companion and garlanding her hair with flowers, the girl in a puce-edged white bodice and red flowered skirt, a basket of flowers beside her, before a marbled pedestal and campana-shaped urn, the spirally-moulded cover with a flamiform finial, on a mound base edged with painted foliage and grasses (handle of basket lacking with associated over-painting, two small and minute chips to underside of footrim, very minor chipping to garlands)
