1779, BLUE AND GILT INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTERS BB, PAINTER'S MARK nq FOR NICQUET AND GILDER'S MARK FOR NOEL, INCISED 36a TO BOTH PIECES
Painted with a band of garlands of cornflowers and roses linking gilt oval medallions enclosing bouquets of cornflowers surmounted by ribbons and above berried laurel between bands of alternate violas and pink roses linked by gilt circles on a turqouise ground with gilt diaper pattern, the handle and rim enriched with gilding (minute chip to rim of can and saucer, slight rubbing to rim of can)
