CIRCA 1824, GILT CIRCLES ENCLOSING Felly a Paris. MARKS
The front of each finely painted with pastoral scenes with farm animals including cows, sheep, goats and a donkey in wooded landscapes, each signed j j.Büe. 1824 in the lower right-hand corners, within shaped rectangular gilt cartouches tooled with flowerheads, flanked by gilt scrolling handles moulded with foliage and anthemion palmettes and swan's heads terminals at the shoulders, the brown-ground reverses with central gilt lyres within garlands of pink roses, a border of white foliage centred by gilt flowerheads above and borders of white and gilt foliage below, the flared gilt necks tooled with up-turned stiff-leaves in flutes, the gilt tapering lower parts tooled with gadroons and up-turned foliage, on flared richly gilt ciselé socles and square plinth bases (two handles with a minute chip to foliage, one handle with three small minor chips to foliage, firing crack to one foot, areas of wear to socles and bases, very slight and minor wear to gilding of handles and rims, junctions between bodies and lower parts possibly with collars lacking)
