Strongly potted in archaistic form, moulded in shallow relief with eight trigrams on each face below the thick pale grey glaze with dark grey and brown crackles throughout

Other similar Qianlong vases have been published: one from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, was included in the Hoyt Memorial Exhibition, and illustrated in the Catalogue, no. 469; and another from the Edward T. Chow Collection, Part III, was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 19 May 1981, lot 503.
