FIRST EDITION of the history of the martyrdom of More, Fisher and eighteen Carthusians from Chauncy's own monastery, the author being too weak to refuse to take the oath acknowledging Henry VIII's supremacy. Chauncy died at Bruges in 1581 two years before the second edition of the above work was printed in the same city. Adams C1421.
