DIONYSIUS Carthusianus. Epistolarum ac euangeliorum dominicalium totius anni enarratio..., Cologne: Peter Quentel, 1542. 2 volumes, 2° (320 x 200mm). Titles within a woodcut border composed of 10 blocks, woodcut of the saint presenting his book to the Virgin Mary on verso of second title and another woodcut of the saint on the last page of the same volume, woodcut initials (a little light browning and staining). Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards with clasps, spines painted green (rubbed). Provenance: Sebastian Strobel (contemporary inscription); Valentinus Schnotzius (early 17th-century bookplate); the Jesuits at Eystett (presentation inscription from the Prince-Bishop of Marquard (?) and ownership inscription on title, both dated 1662).

Woodcut title-border as above (2 repaired tears in last leaf, one with very slight loss of text, very lightly browned). Adams D558. [Bound with] NAUSEA, Fridericus. Rerum conciliarum libri quinque, Leipzig: N. Wolrab, 1538. Woodcut device on title and last page, woodcut initials (title rather soiled). Adams N91. 2 works in one volume, 2° (311 x 201mm). (Worming slightly affects last few leaves of the first work, increasing to affect severely the end of the second work). Contemporary blindstamped pigskin-backed wooden boards with clasps, spine painted green (rubbed).
