Finely-bound in contemporary red morocco, gilt cornerpieces with a dove in an aureole, central gilt Royal arms of France with radiating crown, spine in 6 comparments, one with green leather lettering piece, the other 5 compartments with fleur-de-lys and flame motif, gilt turn-ins (rubbed at extremities, a few scratches on back board). Provenance: owner's inscription dated 1884 on front free endpaper.
