Of rectangular shape with domed lid, veneered overall with mother-of-pearl and banded with meandering tortoiseshell filets, the front with a shaped escutcheon, the sides with handles, on reeded ball feet, the interior lined with buttoned polychrome silk, losses to the mother-of-pearl and to mounts, back feet later
