Of rectangular bombé form with two dished pen-trays and two glass ink-wells beside a rectangular glass-lidded box, the top inlaid with scrolling foliage, above a mahogany-lined drawer, on a moulded plinth with shell-cast foliate bracket feet, the sides with carrying-handles, with feather quill, the moulded border mounts silver, the handles and feet silver-plated
