With rectangular hinged top enclosing a green baize-lined playing-surface, with ribbon and rossette-carved edge, above a plain frieze carved with rockwork and acanthus, on cabriole legs headed by C-scrolls and foliage, and squared paw feet, with Ward's Depository, High Harrogate label, on the underside inscribed in pencil 'Lady S. Smith for London 152', restorations to the wooden gate hinge
