of ovoid form with chased scale and scroll motifs, central cartouches with leaf and scroll handles, the cover surmounted by a figure of a footballer with a football at his feet, the cup decorated with figures of the Three Virtues and inscribed Faith Hope And Charity, one cartouche inscribed The Derbyshire Football Association, Charity Cup, 1886, the other Won By Heeley 1885-6, Won By Staveley. 1886-7, Won By Long Eaton Rangers 1887-8, Won By Staveley. 1888-9, Won By Derby Midland, 1889-0, Won By Derby County Reserve 1896-7, the cover inscribed Derby Junction 1890-1, Heanor Town, 1891-2, Derby Town 1892-3, Derby Town 1893-4, Smadlincote 1894-5, Smadlincote 1895-6, Ripley 1900-1. 1901-2, Derby County R. 1898-9, Chesterfield Town 1897-8, the base inscribed Won By Ripley Athletics 1902-3, Won By Ilkeston United 1903-4, Won By Crich Athletic 1924-25, the body inscribed Won By Leys Recreation 1910-11, Won By Hartshay Colliery And Welfare Sports F.C., 1925-6, Won By Celanese F.C., 1928-29, on circular stepped wooden plinth, 24in.
