A sixteen plate suji bachi kabuto [helmet with standing ridges], with a five lame hineno jikoro [neck guard] of kiritsuke kozane [false lamellae], mayedate [fore crest] of large gilt leather horns, an iron hambo [mask], and do of nuinobe style with kusazuri [tassets] of kirisuke kozane [false lamellae], retaining the gattari matchi-uke and fittings for the sashimono banner, chu sode [shoulder guards] of kiritsuke kozane [false lamellae], shino gote [sleeves], iyo haidate [thigh guards] and shino suneate, the entire armour red lacquered and laced with mid blue lacing in both kebiki and sugake [close and spaced] style, mounted in shakudo, tachibana mon on the helmet, cuirass and hand guards
