The fifth signed Tomoshige and the sixth Yasukuni, Edo period (18th-19th century)
The first a mokkogata iron tsuba chiselled in low relief and gilt with a ho-o bird and foliage, Edo Higo school; the second an oval iron tsuba inlaid with a brass dragon in the style of Heianjo Nagayoshi; the third, an oval iron tsuba carved with a plum tree, the blossom in silver and gilt takazogan; the fourth an oval iron Namban tsuba carved with dragons chasing a flaming tama, gilt details; the fifth an oval tsuba lightly chiselled with a mountainous landscape, signed Choshu ju nin Tomoshige; the sixth an oval brass tsuba with a fox in copper inlay, signed Yasukuni and kao
