Third edition with a revised text; the preliminary essay and notes are omitted. A one-page introduction by the author refers the reader to the De arte gymnstica of Hieronymus Mercurialis (first published in Venice, 1569), and to the works by writers of his own time which had given attention to various forms of sport, his own poem being a "bluette" or "spark" offered to the public to make up for the omission of "la paume".
