The later box with glazed top, applied plaque to front inscribed HUGHES & SON/NO.8652, brass bowl and gimbal, 100 mm. dimater silvered Roman dial with 56-hour up/down ring, blued steel hands, signed H. HUGHES & SON LTD/59 Fenchurch St. London, numbered 8652 to the centre of the seconds ring, chain fusee with Earnshaw type escapement, cut bimetallic balance with helical spring -- 7 in.
