Lacking gimbal and box, bowl numbered 86, 12 cm. diameter silvered Roman dial with 8-day up/down ring and subsidiary seconds, signed Thomas Mercer/St Albans No.781N, blued steel hands, two-tier spot-finished plates, chain fusee with Earnshaw type escapement and cut bimetallic balance with cylindrical compensation weights and helical balance
