The case with foliate cast tazza to the gadroon-moulded top, foliate pierced brass sound frets to the sides applied with elaborate volutes, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed CHLES. DU TERTRE PARIS with pierced and chased ormolu hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with four back-pinned pillars, verge escapement with silk suspension, calibrated countwheel strike on bell (lacking) -- 11½ in. 29 cm.) high
