The part-carved case with frets to the sides, the brass dial with gilt spandrels to silvered chapter ring with applied Arabic chapters, subsidiary rings above for regulation and chime/silent, the eight day triple barrel movement with hour strike on gong and quarter chimes on four further gongs, stamped on the back plate for Winterhalder & Hofmeier -- 21½ in.
