The case with gilt-brass handle to a moulded top, glazed side panels and on bun feet, 6 in. square brass dial with winged cherub spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter with sword-hilt half hour markers and diamond half quarter markers, signed Wm. Clement London, matted centre with date aperture and ringed winding holes, blued steel hands, the eight day movement with five latched pillars, twin gut fusees with verge escapement, outside countwheel strike on bell, pull quarter repeat on two bells, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls; case reveneered, restorations -- 12¼ in.
