AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE AMUN
LATE PERIOD TO PTOLEMAIC PERIOD, 664-30 B.C.
Solid cast, depicted striding with the left leg advanced, his right arm lowered, the left bent at the elbow and extended forward, the fisted hands perforated for now-missing attributes, clad in a belted pleated kilt, his plaited false beard secured by a chin strap, the elaborate broad collar incised, wearing a conical crown with two tall ostrich plumes (partially preserved) fronted by a solar disk, his round face with almond-shaped lidded eyes, slender nose and fleshy lips drawn into a smile, two tenons below the feet for insertion
