CANOSAN, CIRCA EARLY 3RD CENTURY B.C.
Ovoid in form, the body with a winged Nike driving a quadriga to the left on a pink ground, the goddess clad in a sleeveless white chiton, her wings and the chariot cart in blue, a nude Eros before them, his head turned back, his wings outstretched, a red bandolier across his chest, a band of ovolo in blue and pink and a band of joined triangles in red above; a palmette and a scrolling band in red on the reverse; with a standing female figure serving as the vessel neck, clad in a tightly-wrapped mantle with a pink border, the chiton in pink and purple, her hair and eyes in red, a pink and blue feather on either side, the back of the figure joined to a long strap handle, on a profiled foot, extensive pigment preserved throughout
