by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Nicholas II, with later blue overglaze State Porcelain Factory mark of hammer, sickle and cog, dated 1922, with monogram of the artist M K, N.313
Circular, Pravda [truth], variant of a design by Vladimir Lebedev, the centre painted with brown and black abstract composition, a series of black dispersed letters composing the slogan, within a black band, the white border with black band to the rim, marked under base
9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) diam.
