mark of Sazikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1879
Circular, the stand on three ball feet, with simulated bast weave border, and later inscription under the base, the pot repoussé, chased and engraved as a section of tree trunk, the cover with wood grain engraving and plain handle, gilt interior, fully marked
the stand 7 in. (17.8 cm.) diam.
