The rectangular gilt-tooled black leather-lined top framed by a gadrooned moulding, above a frieze fitted with three walnut-lined drawers to the front and simulated drawers to the reverse, the central one spring-operated, the angles with foliated bearded masks, the sides centred with a bacchic mask on a hatched ground and flanked by foliate C-scrolls, on slightly cabriole legs terminating in paw feet, numbered in chalk '8965', one foot with restored break, restorations and replacements to the veneers, one drawer locked
