Britain's answer to Russ Meyer, George Harrison Marks (1926-1997), remains one of Britain's most famous exploitation directors. Starting out as a photographer at a local theatre, Marks moved to London in the early 1950s. In 1953, he met Pamela Green and together they started a business selling black and white nude postcards, which proved so popular they launched Kamera, a monthly magazine featuring nude glamour photographs. Around this time, Marks also began making films, sticking to the subject he knew best: female nudity. Naked As Nature Intended starring Green, was one of his first and most popular films. Although the imagery on the poster is relatively modest, the film was not so shy and proved popular on the 'B' movie circuit.
