The Drug Traffic was released the same year as the government passed the Harrison Narcotics Act. This act was one of the first attempts to control and regulate the manufacture, distribution and use of opiates, indicative of a recognition within the government that drug trafficking and addition were a growing problem that needed to be addressed.
