FIRST EDITION, with 32-page publisher's catalogue at end. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY JAMES on the half-title: "To Mr. [H.B.] Marriott Watson--in kind remembrance. Henry James." H.B. Marriott Watson (Australian, 1863-1921) was a very prolific author, best known for his tales of swashbuckling adventure and historical romance.
