A LONG AND AFFECTIONATE LETTER DISCUSSING THE PRODUCTION DETAILS OF BEYOND THE HORIZON.

"I labored until 2 a.m. on the sets. Finished up the first two sets. A great many made by W. are all right but some are very silly and I will not stand for them. He leaves that up to me, however. In spite of my grudge against him I can't help liking him personally and we shall probably end up as pretty good friends. The play has been rehearsing a week. I'm to attend regularly as soon as my revision of the cuts goes into effect -- day after tomorrow, I guess. Tomorrow I have a session with Williams to go over the entire script with him. 'Beyond' will go on Monday p.m. Feb. 2nd."
