PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Westcott to Jane Engelhard on the half-title page: "With belief and with love, to St. Clare's Jane, at Cragwood, at midnight between May thirty-first and June first 1975 Glenway." [Laid-in] Autograph letter signed from Wescott to Monroe Wheeler, Rosemont, New Jersey, 1 April 1976. 14 pages, 4to. An extensive letter in which Wescott explains to Wheeler, with whom he had a decades long relationship, the histories behind Calendar of Saints and Fear and Trembling.
